Eddie Makgoka
Chief Executive Officer
Eddie Makgoka is a serial entrepreneur, founder and CEO of Makgoka Development Facilitation (MDF) - a multi-disciplinary transaction advisory firm with remarkable experience spanning 25 years. Eddie’s expertise is in institutional and human capacity building (training and advisory), municipal and corporate governance, investments facilitation, capital-raising, enterprise and economic development, project management, and strategy development.
Eddie has consulted for several JSE-listed companies such as AngloGold Ashanti, Harmony Gold and Sun International, as well as worked for State-Owned Entities like the SABC, Tshumisano Trust, SABS and Ntsika (now SEDFA). In addition, he was previously appointed sub-Sahara Africa Investment Promotion Consultant for Invest Hong Kong. Eddie has consulted for over 40 municipalities and municipal entities, and over 1,000 SMMEs. He holds various degrees and diplomas from TUT, UNISA and University of Pretoria.

Muzi Maziya
Executive · Strategy & Research
An accomplished economist and economic development specialist, he brings more than 20 years of experience advising public and private sector institutions on strategies to enhance regional competitiveness, economic growth, and enterprise development. Throughout his career, he has worked extensively with government leaders, business associations, development agencies, and community organisations, providing strategic guidance on economic development initiatives and investment promotion.
His professional network has been developed through years of engagement as a trusted advisor to Premiers, Mayors, business leaders, and community stakeholders, enabling him to facilitate collaborative partnerships that drive inclusive and sustainable economic development outcomes.
In addition to serving in senior management positions within key public institutions, including the Department of Labour and the Competition Commission, he has successfully led strategic consulting assignments for international organisations, donor-funded programmes, and private sector companies. His experience spans policy formulation, programme design, implementation, and evaluation, providing a comprehensive understanding of both public sector priorities and private sector imperatives.
His areas of expertise include economic analysis and research, local and regional economic development, urban and rural development strategies, enterprise and supplier development, access to finance, labour market analysis, skills development, climate change adaptation and resilience planning, as well as monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) frameworks. He is particularly skilled in translating complex economic and development challenges into practical, evidence-based strategies that deliver measurable social and economic impact.

Peter Mokgotho

His work has involved partnering with boards, executive management teams, and operational personnel to establish clear strategic direction, strengthen governance systems, improve business processes, and enhance organisational capability.
